Location & Access
Where exactly is Villa Leonidas located?
Villa Leonidas is perched on a scenic hillside in
Kardamyli, a historic coastal village in the West Mani region of the Peloponnese, Greece. The property overlooks the Messinian Gulf and the Taygetos mountains. You can view our exact position and nearby landmarks on our
Location Page.
What is the easiest way to reach Villa Leonidas from Athens or Kalamata?
From Athens: You can take a direct domestic flight to
Kalamata (KLX) which takes 50 minutes. Alternatively, the drive from Athens is approximately 3.5 hours via the E65 and A7 highways.
From Kalamata Airport: A 1-hour scenic drive south along the coastal road through Mani takes you directly to our gates. We can arrange private
airport transfers upon request.
Is a rental car necessary during my stay?
A rental car is strongly recommended. While Kardamyli village (restaurants, bakeries, and beaches) is reachable within 10-15 minutes, exploring the wider Mani Peninsula—such as Areopoli, Limeni, and the Diros Caves—is best done by car. We can help arrange private drivers or guided day tours if you prefer not to drive.
